Bamboo has a higher fibre rating than any other hardwood which gives it exceptional hard-wearing qualities. One of the major challenges faced during this project was to broaden the perspective of all the managers, caretakers, and makers to accept new design languages and to create more complex products. Keeping the workers motivated towards the execution of experimental designs when explorations were not perfectly functional was another challenge. Ensuring that the workers trained in the project should be able to produce the new designs with or without the supervision of the designer was another concern. To realise this, they were taught to read and understand design drawings, construction techniques, and handling different measuring tools. A major focus was on making the management understand its flaws and irregularities in production; this became a crucial focus of the skill development workshops.
