This is a human-centred, phygital experience design project that helps young professionals to overcome the indecisiveness of choosing which movie to watch at the end of the day. The final outcome is a resolution of six pain points discovered during the study. ‘End-of-day’ / ‘EOD’ Buddy is a rejuvenating phygital experience consisting of a pillow along with a movie-recommendation platform. The pillow helps users relax by assisting them to achieve a calming breath rate and overcome fatigue by interacting with playful and soothing materials and filtering movies based on their current emotions determined by capturing physiological data. Various decision-making scenarios were uncovered from the consumers’ daily lives through a co-creation workshop, brainstorming sprints, user feedback sessions, and interactions with data scientists, engineers, and behaviour architects. The internship ended with a unique and exciting idea of ‘recommending content based on the user’s context’ which was developed further.
