The project brief given to the student was to design a collection for a new and upcoming brand that would essentially focus on sustainability as a concept using organic fabrics and incorporating authentic Indian crafts. The first collection- 'Sindhu: Ties Across Time', is a craft-based project wherein the student came up with a women's Indo-Western wear collection. The second collection- 'Dream in Landour' is an All-White Collection, inspired by the quaint little (once colonial) town of Landour. The use of soft, flowy organic fabrics lends a feeling of a dreamy wonderland. The student designed a western wear collection for women, comprising dresses and tunics with dainty tonal embroideries. The student closely worked with the Bandhani artisans in Kutch while the sampling was done in New Delhi, and both the collections were devised from personal memories.
