Unseen reality is an attempt to design something that reeks of hope. A design that speaks the language of optimism beyond an agenda. Something that makes people more interested in wonderment than information seeking, something that can aid in the time of distress but also, in the process, help us map out the futures we desire. In the hopes that when consciously seeking those futures, we can take the required steps to get there.
What started out as an inquiry into colour and curiosity to build an immersive physical experience, took shape to become a game: Unseen Realities. A game device based on storytelling and worldbuilding that would help create possible and desired visions of the future. Surreal realms, imagination, curiosity, fiction and possibilities could be explored through the powerful act of building stories.
'Why,' one asks. Because exploring the otherness of these worlds helps us understand our relationship with our existing reality. Understanding these existing relationships and desires of the future could help us trace out the required steps we need to take.
Generating and studying these visions of the future for strategic change and development can be the first step to creating a desirable future.
