Delivery personnel across Indian cities use their own two-wheelers that include scooters, motorcycles, and bicycles which are usually not designed for storing packages of various sizes. What if a two-wheeler can satisfy both lifestyle and commercial delivery needs? The author extrapolated this thought with various research tools and designed an electric compact delivery two-wheeler that provided more storage space with modularity to accommodate a pillion rider if needed. The project identifies the problems faced by last-mile food delivery personnel and comes down to a design solution to design an electric scooter. It further explores the functionalities with scenario explorations and visualises glimpses of the new ecosystem around this. Product design was carried out through different tools varying from analogue and digital sketches, photoshop ideation, 3D ideations and explorations in Blender, and explanatory scenario renders.
