This film presents an encounter between a maid-Tara, and a middle-class housewife Vaidehi. Tara is tired of all the work and the problems she faces at home. Vaidehi listens to Tara and realizes the similarities between their lives. The conversation begins with a simple question in the kitchen over a cup of tea in the evening which creates a safe space between them intervened by Uday, Vaidehi’s husband, who appears to be dominant. Some things are left unsaid, and some are portrayed by the actions of the characters in the film. The film addresses patriarchy, the thought differences between two classes, the middle and working class, and the creation of a safe space in a house where two or more women can share their minds without the fear of being judged.
