The project commenced with a brief to identify new product opportunities in the living and kitchen space, supporting Indian consumer needs and incremental value to Samsung's existing range of digital appliances. Through research, it got centred around the topic of 'healthy snacking', which led to the idea of designing an appliance for preparing snacks at home using the hot air cooking method. The initial stage was to look at all kinds of cooking methods and narrow them down to the new snacking habits evolving around the Western influence in the country. The user test and market research were conducted following the COVID-19 safety protocol. The project aimed to promote healthy snacking and support the epicure and non-culinarians to be independent in cooking.
