The project commenced by understanding the target brands, the consumer profile and their lifestyle. The aim was to focus on the kidswear collection using the Liva fabrics. A detailed study of the trend forecast was done from WGSN, and the theme for the season was formulated based on this study. Intensive market research and consumer study were done to understand the current consumer trends and preferences. The data was gathered, compiled and analyzed to derive the key directions, inspiration and design concept for the collections. This project helped the student understand how the textile and apparel industry works, the market operations, brand strategies, design thinking and manufacturing processes.
