Healthcare is considered the primary right of citizens in most nations all around the world. Many countries, including India, have healthcare policies to support their citizens. However, health care policies, especially medical insurance in both the public sector and private sector, offer financial support in terms of coverage only to the extent of inpatient expenses until recent years. This project focuses on extending medical insurance beyond inpatient expenses coverage. There are a few potential insurance coverage segments in healthcare coverage that include but are not limited to prescription drugs, medical diagnosis centres, etc. They were not included in insurance coverage because of the difficulty to verify the insurance claim and the claim amount. Chances of misconduct in insurance claims remains a primary factor for increased paperwork which significantly contributes to limitations in insurance coverage. The project aimed to make health insurance claims easy and quick by simplifying the process. By making prescription drug expenditures covered under the insurance policy to decrease the out-of-pocket medical expenses by Indian households. The solution would also be able to detect and avoid misconduct by the insured during medical insurance claims.
