Bringing a Large Hospital Experience of Trust and Care into an Online Medical Consultation System with Specific Focus on Pharmacy and Diagnostic Lab Needs
DocsApp is a healthcare tech company based out of Bengaluru. The two founders realised that a large population of India does not have access to quality healthcare. One of the emerging methods of communication are smartphones, and that is why health tech is an emerging market and one of the easiest ways to reach out to all the population of India. Such technology and its usage have been difficult to predict. Most of this audience trusts large hospitals and are willing to travel long distances for every ailment. Therefore, in-depth user research was proposed to understand the user base, their needs, expectations and find ways to fulfil them. The process started by studying the complete system of the application in detail, understanding the ecosystem of a start-up and how the application works with the hospital ecosystem. Since it owned no infrastructure, it was purely a service. The final design aimed at fulfilling major trust and care loopholes identified during the research process to help the users and the caregivers communicate better.
