Kera Laila
This film is set in Kerala. Keralites are proud of having the highest literacy rate and Human Development Index in the nation. This film focuses on the typical mindset of those people who are driven through the politics of division and polarisation. These perceptions and conceptions offer an opportunity for exploring a wide range of possibilities. This film shows how people view each other based on factors such as culture, race, caste, nationality, religion, ideology, gender, language, and politics. The challenge for this film is not to show bias towards any particular factor, but to convey an essence of all the factors that contribute to unity in diversity. This concept can also be extended globally and can be related with the existing political scenario. As Kerala is the context of this film, a question is formulated which has the potential to tell a story: "What if coconuts want to escape from Kerala?"
