Exploring Opportunities for TIVA to Cater to the Community Beyond Just Tea-making
This project aimed to design a personalized device that can consistently make liquid and semi-solid breakfast dishes without any expertise. It attempted to accommodate more possibilities of recipes for TIVA. TIVA is the IoT based hot beverage brewing appliance and is presently limited to hot beverages and some liquid dishes. The breakfast maker is a new age device targeted at the next generation of homemakers. The outcome of this project will serve as an extension of TIVA as a roadmap product. The product will expand the TIVA ecosystem and expand the market space for the brand. In addition to extensive user research and market research, the project focused on an anticipatory approach. The project addresses some of the technical complexities and cognitive problems present in the current iteration of the TIVA and irons out any of the existing usability issues. The project tried to achieve this while retaining the core identity of the product in spirit, with most of the intelligence and IoT features intact while providing a cutting edge user experience. The breakfast maker can cook thicker food items like oatmeal, khichdi, and porridge. The product aims to make cooking a pleasant experience by eliminating constant monitoring, memorizing recipes, and automating repetitive tasks. The product will also keep track of the ingredients and regulate temperature as required by the dish. The product leverages the IoT and cloud-based features to open the users to recipes from all around the world, create a community that allows sharing of new dishes from the comfort of a smartphone.
