This project gave the student an opportunity to design three extensive collections. The brand's known for its gold jewellery, and recently it ventured into silver jewellery manufacturing following the market demand. The research involved understanding the significance of silver jewellery, trends, customer needs, market requirements etc. The first collection is a high-end, indo-contemporary collection in 92.5% silver studded with Swarovski stones, inspired by the grandeur and architecture of ancient Dravidian temples for the consumer group with a revivalist persona. The process of achieving contemporary aesthetics while bringing in the essence of inspiration was rigorous and insightful. The second collection was inspired by the fascinating elements of a banana plant to target a sustainability-conscious consumer group. The third collection set in plain silver and pearls was inspired by the irregularities and organic nature of tree rings. The vividity of the inspiration was translated into jewellery by fusing various techniques like electroforming, casting, handmade, stamping etc., to create aesthetically pleasing compositions.
