To Design an Effective Program of Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting for the Students
Going beyond the traditional focus on mathematical concepts, Cuemath takes a wider approach in introducing students to the real world of mathematics. This includes an immersive development of logical reasoning and an inquiry-based approach tailored towards building mathematical aptitude. Cuemath’s mission is to reveal the beauty of mathematics to young school students and help them develop a holistic understanding of mathematics and mathematical thinking. The project aimed to design an effective program of assessment, evaluation, and reporting for the students. The tests are for students of classes K-8 and 9-10. Through effective assessment and evaluation, the way forward was determined and it included the necessity of having a customised learning plan for the student considering focus areas, strengthening the basics of mathematics for these areas, and keeping the parents informed about the curriculum plan. The Cuemath diagnostic test was launched in September 2019. The teachers were trained to identify the areas of improvement and build customised learning plans for the student. Teachers received encouraging feedback from parents regarding the test. The project deliverable included a digital application for an online assessment and evaluation programme which could be accessed on desktops and mobile phones.
