Innovation has become non-negotiable to both business imperatives—minimisation of cost through management of operations and maximising growth by finding the future of the company. In this context, the arises: How can an incumbent figure out innovation before a start-up solves distribution? The purpose of this project was to map innovation theory and manifestations and to create a roadmap to help sponsor QGlue provide services to large organisations undertaking an innovation journey. All the research work led to the creation of an innovation toolkit based on a framework which can be used by QGlue to deliver its services to its various clients. The toolkit can help employees of partner institutions ideate, validate, create, prototype and test their innovation ideas. It also seeks to understand the various design-related tools and methods available for use today and classify them so that selecting an appropriate tool becomes easier for the innovators depending on their contexts.
