The primary objective of this project is to revisit the student’s father’s childhood photographs and to compare them with the former. The central thought is to portray the student’s own life around the stillness of this fast-moving world. Through the documentation of their mundane life, the student aims to juxtapose visuals both from the past and the present. In this project, the student has used self-portraits to find his individuality by making himself the subject; he also revisits his past as he feels the past has made him all that he is today. The photobook, 'Imprinting my Abbu', made as a part of this project is therefore, a dedication to the student’s father. This project gave the student an unparalleled opportunity to reconnect with his father by documenting their activities together such as eating meals, traveling to the office, and grooming. For the student, this project was not a confrontation; rather, it was a medium to communicate.
