Looking at the growing need for construction machinery in developing countries, this project has been put forth as an opportunity for design intervention in excavator cabin interiors for better user experience and performance. An excavator is a construction vehicle used to excavate or move large objects. Since the work includes various factors such as visibility, accessibility, safety, and security, an understanding of machines by the operator and the work carried out by the heavy vehicles should not be precarious. Secondary and primary research provided insights into the concerns of the user and their demands while operating the equipment. An ergonomics study was also done to improve the operator's comfort. The project aimed to develop a better user experience for the operator and provide improved working conditions in the cabin to enhance efficiency and productivity. This project enabled the student to gain a wider perspective on user-centric design.
