This project begins with an inquiry into the landscape of neonatal and maternal healthcare in India, which presents a dire need to reduce the infant mortality rate. It looks at creating a service model encompassing the device and the interface called The Carelet Ecosystem. By making the data graphical and easily accessible, more parents could be made aware about the scientific potential of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), thereby nudging them towards increasing their uptake of KMC.
