This project explores the materiality and innovation possible while translating traditional cane weaving into modern designs, exploring it both as an aesthetic and functional material. It presents a study of interactions between fibrous and metallic materiality, examining tectonics, details and porosity. It also relooks at the conventional manufacturing techniques to be augmented with modern technology.
