TINGLE: Sound filtering headwear for autistic children

Sanya Donald Prakash

Guide
Mr. Amit Sinha

This project designs a range of assistive medical wearables for children suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorder. It mainly caters to their auditory and tactile sensitivities. This project seeks to provide a modulated sensory experience, in the hope that it will help them in their emotional and social development. It utilizes non-woven sheets of textiles made from sisal and wild Himalayan nettle fibers to filter out low frequency range sounds present in urban atmospherics, which are particularly sensitive for children with ASD.
