The West Bengal State Design Center, Kolkata, an initiative by the government of West Bengal, partnered with National Institute of Design to echo the heartbeat of West Bengal — its culture. It helps the production units mentored under it by helping them in understand the deep-rooted elements of the state’s heritage, and in strategically developing in contemporary design to suit the needs and preferences of today’s customers. This project aims to be instrumental in generating livelihood and creating design awareness to the residents of Kolkata.
