This project seeks to explore jute fiber in various material and product applications. Emerging as two luminaire collections, it looks at possibilities of combining jute and clay in the first one and jute and wood in the second one. It seeks to understand the alternatives to polymer-based binders used in popular natural fibers. The two collections are an example of integrating design thinking with sustainability.
