Keywords Brandin Print Collateral Digital strategy |
For my diploma project, I had to work on marketing collateral for Ray+Keshavan, South Asia’s leading brand consulting and design agency. There was the physical collateral which included everything that could be either handed over or mailed to clients, including a company overview as well as overviews of the individual sectors the brand has worked in and the clients they have worked with. I also worked on ideating and building a strategy to increase the brand’s presence in the digital sphere and a proposed makeover for the company’s website.
My goal was to understand brands: how they work and how should you work with them. Since my project involved print, digital media as well as strategy and systems, I had the opportunity to work with a brand across different media and sensitize myself to the peculiarities of each.
I worked on brochures for the four sectors the company had worked in. I sourced relevant company and case study information from the archives, recorded narratives for case studies, designed print brochures for each sector and finalized the material for print and digital presentation. A review of the digital presence of competitors and collaborators in similar fields was also conducted and I planned for three new creative platforms. I co-ordinated the creation of the architecture for a new website, collected all relevant images and designed a website that communicated to prospective clients about Ray+Keshavan.
Through this project, I learnt not only about graphic design but also about working in a professional environment. I now know the importance of interpreting a brief, trusting my instinct and pushing for what I believe in. |
