Natural Fibers Export

The project embraces two major collections – Muggu and Plaids and two minor collections, Marble and Mono designed in heavy dhurrie fabrics for the export market. The first collection generated series of colour rhythm and translated them into woven structures while the second collection being inspired by muggu (rangoli from southern India) comprised of textiles with cut shuttle method. Marbling and resist techniques were also explored to acquire interesting surfaces on the dhurries. Drawing inspriation from the Mono font the fourth range was upholstery for an assortment of furniture, pouffes, floor spread, accessories and cushions.
