The objective of the project was to design two galleries in an art museum that reflected the museum’s vision in its treatment of content and display. The design process involved documentation and archiving of the artefacts, research on the collection to gain familiarity with the content, space allocation, creating a curatorial theme and referring to visuals to design the space. The journey from the production to consumption of an object was taken forward as the theme for the galleries to be designed. The displays allowed a degree of interaction with the artefacts and communicated the process of creation while simultaneously clubbing the artefacts based on their functionality.
