The project brief was to design innovative glass bottles for rising market segments, which would provide glass a competitive edge over other packaging solutions. The concepts were shortlisted on the basis of user study, client requirement, manufacturing process and filling line compatibility. Based on the research it was found that environmentally the carbon footprint of Non-Returnable Glass (NRG) is lesser than that of plastic. The final design was a 250 ml, lightweight, low-priced (as low as plastic) glass packaging. It was an attractive, ergonomic, reusable design, which aimed not just to add to the convenience of the user but also to create an innovative experience.
