This project explores yarn-dyed woven products, collaborating with artisans in two different sectors, weaving and dyeing. After thorough research and study, the approach made was scenario based, the design development process followed was spontaneous and dependent on the available resources and two collections were produced. The first collection, a process of five months, included a range of naturally dyed, woven stoles and yardages in cotton, and aimed to improve the vocabulary of possibilities in weaving yardages and stoles with two and four shaft looms. The second collection offered a range of naturally dyed silk stoles in combination of techniques that offered new direction of utilising the existing techniques.
