Synopsis

The first phase of the project was aimed at designing a women’s western ready-to-wear range, which included t-shirts, shirts, tops, dresses and tunics projected for Autumn/Winter 2016. The process for the same included explorations of silhouettes, prints and denim finishes based on the keywords derived from trend and market analysis. The selected designs were targeted for the women of the age group of 16-30 years and came out as a casual assortment of pure denim as well as denim teamed with prints, stripes and plaids. Drawing inspiration from floral motifs from Mughal and Persian architecture, a collection of smart and contemporary and yet traditional tunics, dresses and skirts was also designed.
