In a small minority of teachers, there exists an ugly undercurrent of mean-spirited and disdainful conduct toward students, which constitutes as bullying and mental harassment. The film weaves a story around a young girl, Matsya, who is constantly bullied by her sadistic teacher in school. She escapes her misery by daydreaming about fishes as she is fascinated by them. The story keeps shifting between the real and surreal; between the girl as herself and as a fish, which is a representation of her state of mind. But the brutality of the teacher and Matsya’s daily humiliation force her into facing her true nemesis: fear. Does she overcome her fears and find freedom from her harsh reality?
