Diploma Project Julus (Short Fiction)
Dr. Shilpa Das

Self Sponsored

The aim of the project was to make a film, with a sequence of images and sounds which are not connected or threaded together at the conceptual level, but when woven together create a narrative. In a small town in India, there is an outbreak of an epidemic, which has become infamously popular as super flu. It is a terminal illness, affecting humans and animals alike with the same intensity. The film revolves around the “organised randomness” that ensues as a consequence of the outbreak. The film also incorporates an animation sequence, the idea behind which was to have a parallel narrative in a different visual form and fuse it with the rest of the film.
