This project focuses on developing a digital stethoscope to enhance telemedicine in India, particularly aiding Community Health Officers (CHOs) in rural areas with limited healthcare access. By enabling audio transmission over long distances, the device equips healthcare professionals with crucial diagnostic data for more effective teleconsultations, ultimately improving patient outcomes. Designed for user-friendliness, the stethoscope allows CHOs with basic medical training to operate it with minimal effort, ensuring seamless communication between remote health workers and doctors. It also features the ability to record, store, and share audio, supporting medical education and online dictation. Integrating artificial intelligence (AI), the device automates some diagnostic tasks, allowing doctors to focus on critical cases. Developed in collaboration with E Sanjeevani, India's official telemedicine platform, the project is currently in testing, refining its usability. As part of a larger initiative, it complements portable ECG and ultrasound devices, driving accessible and efficient healthcare delivery nationwide.
