Sponsored by The Welspun Group, Mumbai, this project involves the creation of two distinct bedding collections for presentation at Heimtextil Spring/Summer 2024 (S/S 24) and Autumn/Winter 2024 (A/W 24) exhibitions. Additionally, the project encompasses collaborations with clients JYSK and WILKO, along with smaller initiatives centered around various Heimtextil themes.
The first collection,’ HIAPO’ is developed for the season A/W 24 Heimtextil. The theme revolves around the rising trend of globalization in design terms. The collection is developed with the objective to understand the iconography of an ancient textile and see its relevance in the ongoing trend forecast and market trends. The collection employs a design approach of mapping out what prints to assign to each coordinate it is elaborate theme and needs proper prior breaking down.
The second collection is developed for the season S/S 24. It revolves around the coastal theme provided by Welspun. The theme is studied and interpreted to develop the collection. The Collection highlights the trend of wellness that has become popular over the years. A liberal design approach is employed as the collection required to develop patterns more loosely and intuitively.
