Sysnopsis

With the advancement in digital technology and IoT, services are available to people on their digital devices. Content access isn’t just limited to mobile devices but has expanded to laptops, tablets, voice interfaces, wearables, etc. For the newer generation, using multiple devices would be natural and standard in their day-to-day life. Gen Alpha, a generation born after 2010, is the first generation born in a completely digital world. From an early age, they use multiple digital devices to discover the world. This usage has extended beyond entertainment to include communication, education, content creation, and more. With the use of multiple devices, kids are exposed to problems such as cyberbullying, dark UX patterns, mature content, accidental clicks, etc. These issues arise when they get their personal devices. Thus, it becomes important for parents to ensure safety and security across various digital devices in their formative years. Digital safety needs to go beyond personal devices and extend to their community and other digital devices. To address these complexities, this project is conceptualised, rooted in a nudge-based approach. This approach aims to offer unintrusive guidance, serving as a friendly companion in the journey to safeguard the content-sharing and consumption practices of pre-teens.
