Sysnopsis

Environment is the biggest concern today and being a design student, main motto was to create sustainable products that comprehend and gel well with needs of people with an objective of not to harm or degrade environment.
Meghalaya is a densely forested with an abundance of bamboo, Areca palm, cane, soft wood trees because of its geographical location and climatic conditions so these raw materials are locally available and free of cost. Natives of Meghalaya have complete dependence on nature. Their love for nature/environment can be seen in their lifestyle.
The focus of the project is to use locally available natural materials, incorporate them in the local traditional craft and introduce new products of lifestyle accessories. The skills of local artists and their ancient art form of handmade craft is utilized with a view of catering to global audience.
Mission is to support the craft which is created by hand, continue to have the human touch of artists and artisans in Meghalaya to turn their ideas and skills into unique products. Worked on reviving the dying art form of black clay pottery, bamboo, cane, wood and storytelling.
Jewellery is created by using Black clay which has never thought earlier. Tribes never tried jewellery made out of black clay.
In short, a sustainable working ecosystem was created where gifts of nature and human skills are nurtured in a responsible manner i.e range of lifestyle accessories were created using natural locally available materials, keeping in mind sustainability and conservation
