Roses is a short fiction film about 12min long. The film basically shows the relationship between two friends. When two friends meet after a long time due to some occasion and indirectly try to discuss the issues within them which were the reason of silence between them for a long time. Jui and Simran 2 female old friends who were not in touch with each other for very long time, due to some misconceptions happened in past and holding on grudges and ego between them. They are now meeting after a long time as Jui is getting married and has come to Simran’s house to invite her. Through this meet Jui tries to indirectly sort things out between them but Simran stays stubborn. Jui tries to explain her ego theory by making a comparison with the roses in Simran’s balcony. As like how a rose plant has thorns on its body when it’s young, but eventually it grows and turns into a beautiful flower but the thorns still stay. Unlike us humans make mistakes when we are young but we have option to lose our thorns and grow up leaving our mistakes behind and move on by forgetting them and blossom into a flower. But listening to this Simran still stays upset and doesn’t really agree to Jui. Jui then leaves. After some time Simran gets a call stating that Jui has met with an accident after leaving Simran’s house.
