Ramji(35) is a bank manager searching for a house to move in. But he has been getting rejected by the house owners every time. Ramji lives in denial of the real reason behind the injustice happening to him. His father was a sanitary worker who died during work. Ramji married Savitha, and they have a kid, Dev. Ramji doesn't want his kid to live in the slum where most of the Sanitary workers in the city live. His insecurities about his community follow him everywhere. He thinks the only way to escape his caste labels is to move away from the community and the place. Bhavesh is a young cleaning worker who lives in the same colony. He understands the community problems more than anyone in the slum. Bhavesh is in love with a girl from a different caste. She invites him to come for 'Garba,' a festival that happens in Gujarat. He gets angry when his friends make fun of him and tells him those people won't let him in.
On the other hand, Ramji became used to running away from his insecurities rather than confronting them. Ramji decides not to reveal his caste identity this time when he finds a new house. He also gave the advance before the agreement to ensure everything went fine. But the owner refuses to sell the house to Ramji. This time Ramji accepts the truth and tries to fight back.
