The forest is the home of the tribals, and it is their sacred land. The tribals are forcefully evicted by the police from their home forest. Murali a young police officer, questions himself about being a part of this action. He enters the forest with a heavy heart and unsettling thoughts. He had witnessed the police driving the tribal people out of their land. Murali couldn't look into their eyes as he walked past them. He walked further into the forest, passing all the remnants. Deep Inside the forest, he witnesses the Theyyam only to discover that the forest is the home of the Theyyam too. Murali stood with all the tribals while the fire continued turning the rest of the huts into ashes. Murali stood looking at the tribals moving away into the abyss with pieces of their home held together. For him, they were not tribals anymore, but they were the Theyyams protecting the forests, the gods of the land.
