Sysnopsis

In a future world dominated by towering metro cities and a scarcity of green spaces, Rahul, a 25-year-old loner, finds solace in his vintage vinyl record player. His job at a drone operations company involves retrieving malfunctioning drones, which he dislikes. But the record player, passed down from his father, transports him to a cherished realm of memories and tranquility. However, one day, Rahul discovers that his beloved player is broken, prompting him to seek a solution. Desperate to fix his precious possession, Rahul explores repair options online and is stunned by the exorbitant cost. Determined, he decides to work overtime, taking his drones out for extended hours. His singular focus on his goal eclipses all other considerations. Sleep and physical health become compromised due to long working hours and excessive screen usage. Yet, the memory-triggering power of the vinyl player continues to motivate him. After considerable time and effort, Rahul finally accumulates the funds needed for the repair, only to learn that his house cleaning robot has irreparably damaged the player. Devastated, he resigns himself to his computer, feeling defeated. However, driven by a deep longing, he clandestinely retrieves his office drone and sneaks into the city dump. Among the vast mounds of rubbish, Rahul discovers his shattered player. Overwhelmed by grief, he breaks down in tears. Through his sobs, he begins to sing the familiar melodies himself, realizing that the music exists within him, independent of any external trigger. In that moment, Rahul comprehends that his connection to the music transcends the physical object, and he can find solace through his memories alone. Transported into a surreal world within his mind, Rahul encounters his father, finding a sense of peace and acceptance. Embracing this newfound understanding, he lets go of his attachment to the material possession.
