With a view to identify areas of improvement for children’s well-being, this project revolves around making Urban Indian cities more “Child-Friendly”. It involves investigating the dimensions of protection, progress and participation of children within Indian Cities in terms of accessibility, availability, and affordability of infrastructure and services. It also aims to understand the nuances involved in defining a child-friendliness index. Furthermore, it looks forward to developing a holistic understanding around the concept of child-friendliness in the context of Indian Cities and explores the potential of strategic interventions at product, service, and system-level while elevating the city experience for children.
