Through his graduation project with The Walt Disney Company (India) Pvt. Ltd, Sharath created an animation film called ‘The Mask of Kokachi’, for children aged 6 and above. Keeping the fascinating topic of magic as the premise,
the film showcases the journey of a normal kid who lands up with a mask that has tricky magical powers and his transformation to save the world, with a mystical monkey and his martial arts expert mother by his side.
Audience understanding and entertainment were kept in mind while converting the story thread to an animation film. Many Indian elements were included in the world building and character development of the film, keeping local flavor and folklore in mind. The story visuals were kept simple and basic, following experimentation in character design, animation shots and shot transitions. Special effects and sound effects were added to improve the beauty and in-depth story telling perspective of the film.
