Bagoon is a 10-minute sci-fi short film set in Chennai that follows Ananthu, a 28-year-old office worker, whose mundane day is disrupted by the appearance of a mysterious black, balloon-like creature. Visible only to him, the entity haunts his movements, on his office terrace, in crowded streets, and even at the beach, blurring the lines between reality and imagination. Ananthu’s attempts to interact with the creature reveal both his fascination and growing unease, culminating in a tense encounter where the creature disappears, only to be noticed by a stranger moments later. Combining guerrilla filmmaking with subtle visual effects, Bagoon uses the creature as a metaphor for urban loneliness, alienation, and the unseen presences that shadow human experience.
