The Global Centre of Excellence (GCOE) is a national initiative backed by WinZO and DPIIT, positioned at the intersection of policy, industry, and innovation in gaming. This project focused on creating a brand identity that could communicate credibility, ambition, and global readiness while appealing to diverse stakeholders such as government bodies, industry leaders, developers, and students. The design process began with defining GCOE’s brand personality—formal yet approachable, bold yet inclusive—which informed the visual system. A flexible identity was developed using a structured color palette, typography, iconography, and motion principles, and tested across multiple touchpoints including digital platforms, print collaterals, events, and merchandise. Animation and storytelling further extended the identity through a brand film, positioning GCOE as a collaborative platform that supports innovation and growth in India’s gaming ecosystem.
