Undertaken at Srishti MAHE in collaboration with the Indian Music Experience (IME), this project focuses on the "IME Music Bus" a mobile, immersive museum designed to bring musical encounters to rural and urban schools in Karnataka. The design process was shaped through field visits and co-design workshops, mapping the emotional and spatial journeys of children. The project addresses real-world constraints like safety, acoustics, and durability, turning the bus into a sensory-rich, inclusive platform for cultural discovery. A highlight is the "Active Listening Exhibit," an RFID-based prototype that allows children to isolate natural sounds and layer them into melodies. The bus positions music as culture, science, and self-expression, reaching children who might not otherwise encounter such experiences. Ultimately, the project embodies a vision for accessible, interactive, and deeply experiential learning. By integrating playful interaction with mobile infrastructure, the work demonstrates how research-driven design can democratize access to arts and cultural education across diverse geographies.
