This project focuses on designing a game for players aged 13–18 that balances strategic depth with accessibility. While many games for this demographic prioritize speed and simplicity, this project addresses the growing demand for more intellectually engaging experiences. The aim is to create a game with deeper systems that encourage strategic thinking, quick decision-making, and an understanding of game mechanics, without overwhelming the player. The project begins with research through surveys, focus groups, and analysis of existing games to understand player preferences and engagement drivers. Based on these insights, a game prototype is developed featuring intuitive mechanics, a balanced economy, and layered strategic depth. A key component is an adaptive AI system that adjusts difficulty in response to individual player performance, ensuring sustained engagement. Iterative play testing with the target audience informs refinement. The final outcome includes a playable prototype, audience analysis, and design insights drawn from testing.
