This project explores the intersection of Brutalism and luxury through a residential furniture collection that challenges conventional notions of refinement. Drawing inspiration from post-war Brutalist architecture, the project translates its core principles—bold geometric forms, honest material expression, and structural clarity—into contemporary furniture design. Rather than relying on ornamentation, luxury is redefined through material integrity, precision, and restrained craftsmanship. The collection uses rich, dark woods and natural finishes, balancing the raw, monolithic character of Brutalism with subtle detailing, tactile surfaces, and ergonomic comfort. Heavy, block-like forms are softened through gentle curves and refined proportions, creating pieces that function as both furniture and sculptural statements. The project proposes that true luxury lies in authenticity, material depth, and confident design that is unapologetically bold yet thoughtfully resolved.
