Vol’uda is a simulation, tycoon style serious game built with game-based learning principles, designed as a next-generation learning platform for Airbus. Drawing from the mechanics of tycoon games, it focuses on the business and operational aspects of aerospace while using simulation systems to shape progression, randomization, and scenario-based problem solving. The game relies on intentional, informed decision-making,turning play into a structured learning process where every choice reflects real-world engineering and operational challenges. The goal of Vol’uda is to onboard and upskill new aerospace engineers within Airbus’s Flight Physics department. It combines interactive gameplay with authentic engineering principles, allowing players to run a virtual airline ecosystem while solving flight physics challenges. In this way, technical training shifts from passive instruction to active, self-directed exploration. Vol’uda aligns directly with Airbus’s digital transformation and learning innovation ambitions, making professional development not just effective, also engaging and scalable.
