Aqualith is a luxury accent console designed for contemporary Indian homes, blending modern form with culturally rooted material expression. The sculptural silhouette is created using precise bent-ply techniques and engineered plywood, resulting in fluid arcs that challenge conventional furniture geometry. A high-gloss ombré lacquer finish transitions across shades of blue, adding depth, movement, and a reflective visual presence. Contrasting this sleek surface is a curved metal band finished in a rusted, antique patina, inspired by the naturally aged iron and brass elements found in historic Indian furniture. This detail introduces texture, visual tension, and a sense of timelessness within a modern context. Designed for Asian Paints’ Nilaya luxury segment, the console was prototyped and fabricated in collaboration with skilled vendors, translating a concept of material contrast and craftsmanship into a refined, collectible furniture piece.
