Merchants on Uber Eats face challenges such as manual menu management, missing or low-quality content, and limited decision support, resulting in inefficiencies and lost opportunities. The proposed AI Assistant functions as a context-aware, embedded companion that helps merchants complete tasks faster, improve menu quality, and access actionable insights. Key interventions include AI-generated item descriptions and images, tools to streamline menu edits and backfill missing content, and intelligent prompts that surface timely recommendations. The long-term vision positions the assistant as a unified AI layer across the platform, extending support to marketing, reporting, and customer engagement. By balancing automation with transparency and user control, the project ensures trustworthy and scalable AI adoption, positioning Uber Eats as a proactive partner in merchants’ operational efficiency and growth.
