This project investigates how hybrid physical, digital interactions can deepen public engagement in exhibition design, using Sci560: Science in the City by Science Gallery Bengaluru as its context. Initially focused on designing graphic panels for scientific object narratives, the brief evolved to explore how exhibition storytelling can extend into personal, shareable digital experiences. Through site visits, curator collaborations, field research across Bengaluru, and iterative prototyping, the project examined intersections of spatial storytelling, digital interactivity, and public engagement.
A key curatorial shift reframed the exhibition through Bengaluru as a Military, Industrial, Academic Complex, allowing object stories to be re-mapped for richer narrative interpretation. The final concept proposes a hybrid experience that transforms exhibits into interactive digital souvenirs. Prototyped using Spline 3D, Blender, and Feather3D, the project emphasizes adaptability, iterative design, and audience engagement beyond the gallery space.
