This project involved creating three wallpaper collections—Into the Deep, Forest Days, and A Jaipur Story at Wari Watai for Nilaya, Asian Paints’ luxury wallcovering line. Rooted in surface design, the work explored how wallpapers interact with light, space, daily life. Into the Deep, part of Nilaya’s Beyond collection for ColourNext, expanded an existing visual universe, while Forest Days was revived with new additions that responded to its earlier language. A Jaipur Story emerged through collaborative research, material exploration, and iterative prototyping, reimagining Jaipur’s heritage for contemporary interiors. Across all collections, patterns evolved through ideation, layering, and refinement, informed by overlapping timelines that allowed each project to influence the next. Close engagement with Nilaya, Wari Watai, and Asian Paints ensured alignment with brand identity and audience. This journey highlighted interplay of wallpaper, textile design, and surface design, teaching valuable lessons in design, collaboration, and the transformative power of well considered surfaces.
